OverView:
This position provides ultrasound diagnostic procedures in assigned patient population while following all applicable regulatory standards, departmental/hospital procedures, policies and/or protocols. The incumbent may be required to perform one or more of the following types of exams: Echo, Vascular or general ultrasound depending on the unit or area assigned.

Responsibilities:
1. Performs ultrasounds on patients with optimal image quality, following physician orders for all procedures.2. Maintains current knowledge of instruments and equipment, evaluates functioning, troubleshoots, makes minor repairs and/or notifies appropriate personnel of equipment performance issues.3. Prepares and maintains patient's records, reports and related material.4. Provides education to patients and family regarding procedure performed. May also be asked to mentor or educate peers and other hospital staff, as needed.

Qualifications:
Prefer experienced Vascular Technologist with RVT. Credentials from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers within 6 months of hire.One year of experience in acute hospital or clinical setting or graduation from a formal diagnostic medical sonographer program. This position may require taking on-call and/or cross training to perform same/similar role at other company facilities.
