OverView:
Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Banner Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our Performance Standards each and every day. Banner's Performance Standards include: Safety, Attitude, Responsiveness, Communication, Comfort, Privacy, Appearance, Teamwork, and Accountability.
Responsibilities:
This position performs prescribed ultrasound procedures by following department/hospital policies, procedures and protocols. This position demonstrates competence to ensure optimal care/treatment of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.May be required to cross-train and perform the essential functions of this position at other Banner facilities. Must be able to interact with all Banner staff, physicians, patients, families and external contacts. Customers are patients, visitors, physicians and other Banner Health System staff, vendors and payers.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Requires certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographers (RDCS). Applicants may be registry eligible as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer by the ARDMS or the RDCS. Requires BLS certification.PREFERRRED QUALIFICATIONS:Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
